The first clothing line designed
for video calls

When COVID hit the world in 2020, work life went through a revolution like never before. Homes turned into offices, and meeting rooms moved to video conferencing apps. Yet people still wanted to look professional and dress for the job.

This shift sparked a global fashion phenomenon. As laptop cameras only captured the upper half of the body, people began dressing with minimal effort, pairing blazers with boxers or shirts with leggings.

Inspired by this new reality, we created Telcollection, a clothing line for Finland’s biggest clothing retailer, Prisma. The collection celebrated the new era of hybrid workwear: stylish on top, comfortable below.

MITÄ MAAILMASSA TAPAHTUU

The world is changing so fast that news is often old by the time we’ve finished reading it. Luckily, there’s HS Digi (Helsingin Sanomat digital new platform) updating as quickly as the world it reports on.

That’s why we developed a slogan that reflects constant change.

It suggests that by the time the reader reaches the end of the sentence, the world has already changed — even just a little.

WOMEN’S COLUMN

In 2018, the editorial team of Helsingin Sanomat discovered a serious shortcoming in its own practices: only a little over 30 percent of the people featured in its stories were women.

We decided to take action and announced to our readers on International Women’s Day a concrete and long-term initiative to change that. The ad turned the HS front page into an infographic.
