Koop meets Coop: when nostalgia becomes the perfect marketing hook

Coop’s private label was set to replace SOK’s long-running Rainbow brand as the main private label in Finnish stores. Our task was to introduce it in a way that would spark attention and smiles on social media.

We turned to nostalgia and featured Koop Arponen, one of Finland’s first Idols contestants — the joke was instant. The idea played on the name similarity: Koop discovers Coop. In the campaign, Koop stumbles upon the new product line and decides it’s finally his time to become an influencer.

Because when your name is already the brand, the collaboration writes itself.
